Land Surveyor

Vision Survey is seeking to recruit a full-time Land Surveyor based at our office in Three Bridges, Crawley. The position will allow the right person with proven experience in the surveying industry to carry out our exacting standards on a multitude of projects.

We offer a range of services including laser/topographical scanning, underground utility surveying and permit control as well as many others. Land Surveyor

Salary: 26k – 32k

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to the Project manager, you will be a project lead and the first point of contact between the company and the client. You will:

  • Undertake surveys at various sites and projects
  • Establish survey control
  • Set out site gridlines
  • Use precise levelling techniques
  • Provide as-built surveys
  • Assist with and produce CAD drawings
  • Quality check plans and drawings for accuracy
  • Monitor and interpret design documents
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders including consultants, subcontractors, supervisors etc.
  • Effectively plan and organize workflow to meet agreed deadlines
  • Oversee quality control and ensure that all work is produced to company and client standards
  • Be responsible for equipment and resources as necessary
  • Prepare reports as required
  • Resolve any unexpected difficulties or issues that may arise and escalate as required

What we are looking for:

  • Suitable Engineering/surveying degree or proven relevant experience
  • CSCS card holder
  • Understanding of construction safety
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated
  • Flexible and strong team player
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with all levels of stakeholders
